First Meet Parent info
Friday night is our first meet!! This is a lengthy email, but I hope to answer a few questions especially for our first time team members.
Meet location: MOUNTIAN PARK AQUATIC CENTER * note this is not the same location at Mountain Park Park or Athletic Association. Pool Address: 1063 Rockbridge Rd SW, Stone Mountain, GA 30087
Volunteers: THANK YOU for volunteering! If you are involved with SET UP or Concessions please plan to arrive around 6pm, no later than 6:15. All volunteers should report to the classroom on the pool deck to sign in. (Go down the steps when entering the facility and along the closest edge of the pool.) TIMERS/runner- we will have a timer meeting, usually around 7pm but please check in as soon as you arrive, and I will update you on the timer meeting. **All volunteers should be able to see their swimmers event.
6pm- If any parents are at the pool early, we could use help unloading Amy Schnupp's vehicle, who will be bringing our concession items.
Concession Stand: There is no charge to enter the meet, but do please consider having an affordable dinner at our concession stand our menu includes:
BBQ Pork Sandwich $3
Beef Hot Dogs $2
Mac N Cheese $2
Assorted Chips, Drinks, Candy $1 ea
Good Luck Duck $2- Pick out a small duck figurine and send your swimmer a good luck message.
HEAT SHEETS: $1 Heat Sheets are the meet program. Its the best way for spectators to follow along with the meet. Some swimmers/parents also like them for keep sakes. Swimmers previously best times will show on the sheet so its also a good way to track if they "dropped time".
